About

Lucy Hargreaves

Registered Psychologist

As the owner and principal psychologist, I bring extensive experience working with children and young people from preschool to adolescence. I support children and teens across a range of areas, including learning and cognitive differences, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, mood challenges, behavioural concerns, and social and emotional development. I also have a strong background in working with children and families who have experienced adversity and childhood developmental trauma.

My approach is centred around understanding the whole child, not just the challenges, but their strengths, interests, creativity, and unique way of seeing the world. I believe that every child has their own story, and when taking the time to understand why they think, feel, and behave the way they do, we can better support them to thrive.

Assessments are a key part of this process. I provide comprehensive, neuro-affirming and strength-based assessments that go beyond labels to offer meaningful insights into how a child learns, relates, and experiences the world. This helps families, schools and supports to work together with a shared understanding.

My goal is to help families make sense of their child's experiences in a way that feels clear, respectful, and hopeful, and to offer practical, individualised recommendations and strategies that truly fit.

Face-to-face appointments at the clinic are available on alternate Wednesdays and Fridays. Telehealth appointments are available on these days for added flexibility and convenience.

Due to limited clinic hours and time spent in appointments, email is the best way to get in touch. We aim to respond to all enquiries as soon as possible during clinic hours.
